Well-Being Projects 

The Centre provides a rolling on programme of well being activities designed to help process the grief journey:  

  • Yoga
  • Tai chi
  • Zumba
  • Art and Music Therapy Workshops

These activities work in conjunction with the counselling sessions and are delivered in small groups helping individuals to engage on a regular basis to:

  • Improve mental health
  • Improve physical health and
  • Improve personal well being

Well-Being Activities

Read on to discover details of our future well-being activities which work in conjunction with the one to one Counselling/Men and Women's Peer Support Groups as follow on well being activities for the over 50/60's. Sessions are free for the Local Community who are currently overcoming grief or who have experienced loss/grief in the past who are residing in Beckton, Custom House, Freemasons, Silvertown, Royal Docks as well as Plaistow, Stratford, East Ham and Forest Gate.  These Projects are supported by a small grant from The Royal Docks Trust (London), The Postcode Community Trust and Awards For All - The Big Lottery Fund.  

Our 10 week programme of Pilates for Beginners (Maximum of 15 people) will begin on: Thursday 10th August 2017    Time: 11.30 am to 12.30 pm

Our 10 week programme of Yoga for Bereavement (Maximum of 15 people) will begin on: Tuesday 26th September 2017    Time: 11 am to 12 noon

To access the Well-Being Activities which are free (fully funded) you will need to request your GP or Health / Social worker to complete a Referral Form
